Opening: DC's Newest Beer Hall

DC is becoming home to many new beer gardens, but DC's newest beer house just opened up right in the heart of DuPont.  Located at 1216 18th Street, next to Public Bar, Sauf Haus Bier Hall is a fantastic place to go with friends or coworkers for happy hour or even a fun dinner before heading out for a night on the town.

With plenty of German beers on tap, 2 lb pretzels, and authentic German sausages, you will leave happy and stuffed.

The restaurant is serving up delicious German fair with some fun twists like soft pretzels the size of your head that come with a homemade cheese sauce and a homemade sweet and spicy mustard.  You can get a sausage sampler if you are like me and want to try a little bit of everything.

Although there are three floors of fun, the rooftop is where the party is.  With the gorgeous summer weather we've been experiencing, it is the place to be with good food, good beer, and good friends.

I tried a little of everything at the preview party, but I was hooked on the pilsner....and the pretzels.  The bar serves up other drinks like wine and liquor, but if you're going to do it right, go with the beer.

This place is the perfect location, and the atmosphere is breezy and fun.  They have the right idea, and I am positive Sauf Haus Bier Hall will be a success.  I'm already looking forward to going back soon!
